Benchmarking is a planned process by which an organization compares its H&S processes and performance with others to learn how to reduce accidents and ill health, improve compliance & commitments to H&S.

There are basically two types of Benchmarking :

Internal Benchmarking : Internal Benchmarking is to compare the H&S performance across the departments to enhance the efficiency /Learning .
External Benchmarking : In external Benchmarking process, we compare with the other organizations i.e. from Best-in-Class organizations , Competitors or similar industrial Sectors .
