Information to  be used to write answer from the scenario in NEBOSH OBE IGC -IG1 Examination


Many learner are looking that what information to be covered while writing the NEBOSH IGC /IG1 Answer. 
This guideline will help to learner to provide the appropriate linking with the scenario. 


1. Specific note provided in  Task/Question- HSG65 , HSG245 , ILO R164 , C155– Analyse these documents carefully  before writing your answer. Nebosh is not asking to reproduce these information  as it is  in answer template. These are the supporting documents and will be used to refer the topic which has been mentioned in the Task/Question.


In many cases, Learner will copy paste the ILO C-155 and R-164 information , in the answer template.

NEBOSH is looking the practical application as per the scenario whether Organisation is following the ILO guidelines or not.



2. “Based on the scenario only”- Answer is available in scenario , whether it is visible or in hidden form. So write the answer from the Scenario only. 100% Answer linking to be done from the Scenario.


3. Note=Support your answer, where applicable , using relevant information from scenario- with in the limit (periphery) of the of Scenario. In maximum questions, all the answer  must be linked to scenario otherwise it will have impact on marking.


4. Direct question -Nothing mentioned in Task or Question- Take help of study book/Tutor Notes in the context of scenario which are related to H&S. Even keep the scenario in the mind and write the answer keeping given scenario’s conditions. Always remember it is a Scenario based examination.

If any warehouse is mentioned , please do not give examples of any Nuclear plant.


5. Nothing mentioned in Task or Question , And  answer is not available in your study  material-  Take help of other Study Material/  www.hse.gov.uk/ www.ilo.org / Phill Huges & Ed Ferrat etc. And reproduce in your own words.
